Best for Families - Expert review of Two Oceans Aquarium
Take my word for it, this world-class facility is a lifesaver and, if you’re a parent (or an ocean lover), a holiday must do. When the kids are driving you slightly barmy, all hope will be restored at this V&A Waterfront gem. With loads to keep children of all ages fascinated (the Nemo and jellyfish tanks are always a hit), I have been known to use it as a bribery tool - “there’ll be no aquarium if you don’t …” - and it works every time. Touching pools get kids up close and personal with ocean creatures, penguin feeding time is a hoot and, if you really want to make an impression, take them to the kelp forest where ragged tooth sharks amble about - they’ll be in awe and so will you. The on-site café is good too, especially their milkshakes and the on-site activity room offers a little time out for weary parents.
Adults 94 rand, children (14-17) 73 rand, children (4-13) 45 rand. Children under four are free and pensioner and student discounts apply.
